Commemorative Trees

What better way to honor someone who is special to you than with a living tree. The Garden Center Association plants trees in the Stanley R. McLane Arboretum at Loose Park in the spring in association with National Arbor Day and in the fall.

To commemorate a friend or loved one with a tree, print out the Commemorative Tree order form and mail it along with your check to the address indicated.  Please be sure to fill out all of the information to indicate who you would like to receive a card acknowledging the honoree.

The person being honored will have their name recorded in the Commemorative Tree Book which is kept in a special case in the Library at the Garden Center Building at Loose Park. After the tree has been planted and a plaque identifying the tree species has been installed, a card and map location of the tree will be sent to the recipient.

Commemorative Trees planted are all native species chosen to grow well in our area. The price of $500 includes the tree, its planting, tree species identifying plaque*, first year watering and one year warranty.

*Due to restrictions in the Deed of Dedication of the Ella C. Loose, Trust, the names of individuals may not be permanently memorialized outside of the buildings at the park.
